Louisville youth program teaches teens a lesson in giving
The Louisville Youth Philanthropy Council hopes to diversify its next class. The program for high school students is accepting applications through June 30. LYPC focuses on philanthropic giving, research, and hands-on experience. It’s an eight-month educational experience – and for their next recruiting class, the chief executive says they hope to find kids who are passionate about giving back to the community. “What we do every year is we divide the students into three teams and each team gets 5,000 that they can grant.
