A charity has been started in York with the aim of making cycling more inclusive and accessible, especially for people with special needs.

York’s social enterprise Get Cycling has transferred its event business to Everybody’s Cycling.

Get Cycling has been providing an inclusive cycling experience to residents of York and beyond for over 13 years.

Its range of handicap and specialized bikes has enabled thousands of customers to get on their bikes.

Now, however, Get Cycling has solidified itself as a bike shop and workshop. While Everybody’s Cycling is the new name for cycling events.

The organization is funded by more than 90 community shareholders. It offers fully inclusive events and programs, helping new and hesitant cyclists enjoy cycling in a safe and fun way.

Programs include Bike Doctor Events, Inclusive Bike Trials, Pedal Rides for Events, and Business Networking and Team Building Days.

Everybody’s Cycling Chief Executive, Jessica Shay, said: “We are fortunate to be a new charity and yet we have so much experience in inclusive cycling through our foundations laid at Get Cycling. Our goal is to allow everyone to experience cycling and enjoy all the benefits it can bring.
