Qatar Charity, QAD distributes food parcels to low-income families
Qatar Charity (QC), with the support of Qatar Academy Doha (QAD) students, distributed food parcels to 550 low-income families in Qatar, as part of the “Ramadan of Hope” campaign.
The initiative, which delivered 1,200 food parcels to families, supports the Ramadan campaign to help meet the needs of people with limited incomes during the blessed month.
QAD students, along with QC staff and volunteers, helped distribute food parcels to families. QAD implements this project every year during Ramadan to encourage its students to voluntarily participate in community service and carry out humanitarian and charitable actions.
QC has urged philanthropists in Qatar to continue their support for the “Ramadan of Hope” campaign, which aims to benefit nearly one million people in Qatar, at a cost of around QR 100 million.
QC’s plans for Ramadan include Iftar meals for workers, distributing vouchers to low-income families and orphans, and helping people in debt through the “Alaqraboon” initiative.
Eid gifts for children from low-income families and Ramadan gifts, as well as numerous awareness and cultural programs and voluntary initiatives are also part of the projects.
