TVO Mathify’s Free Online Tutoring Expands to Grade 4 and 5 Students in Ontario

1:1 online learning resource now supports students in grades 4-11 with free tutoring from certified Ontario teachers

Toronto, ON, April 01, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Grades 4 and 5 students can now take advantage of free online math lessons with certified Ontario teachers through TVO Mathify. Available to anyone enrolled in a publicly funded English-language school in Ontario, this newly expanded access is helping thousands of students in grades 4-11 learn math skills and build confidence through to personalized support. By strengthening math foundations and supporting student progression through the Ontario math curriculum, TVO Mathify helps unlock greater potential.

“Our team is excited to expand this incredibly popular and effective learning resource for more students to benefit from earlier in their math studies,” said Jennifer Hinshelwood, COO of TVO. . “TVO Mathify helps students explore personalized approaches to understanding important math concepts, while supporting the development of a growth mindset. These skills open up a world of opportunity as students step into their future.

Students use the online tutoring service by logging into a free account at TVOMathify.com and uploading a school math question or choosing a practice question from the question bank that supports the math curriculum. Ontario grades 4-11. They then securely and anonymously log into a personalized session with one of TVO Mathify’s tutors, all of whom are certified Ontario teachers. Interactive whiteboard and voice/text chat functions work seamlessly on any type of device to allow easy access to learning material anywhere.

Ontario educators can also use TVO Mathify for interactive math lessons and activities, additional support, and easy sharing for students to seamlessly support math learning at home and in the classroom.

Eligible students in grades 4-11 can sign up for a free TVOMathify.com account at any time using their Ontario Education Number (OEN). Parents and educators can also stay up to date with the latest in TVO’s digital learning support through TVO Learn’s monthly newsletter.
