Each year, SRQ Media invites the community to nominate generous individuals who have had a significant impact on local nonprofit organizations – from volunteers and board members to staff members and donors. This year, attendees were thrilled to be together as we honored our annual Good Hero Philanthropic Award winners during the SB2: Philanthropic Agenda Luncheon and Good Hero Philanthropic Awards Luncheon on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at the Hyatt Regency Sarasota. Over the next few weeks, we are pleased to feature each of the twelve winners in our Wednesday philanthropic edition of Le Quotidien SRQ.

Today we honor Heather Todd, Executive Director of Teen Court of Sarasota. Heather’s passion for her work is beyond measure. Thanks to his help and leadership, thousands of young people have been given a second chance. She remains sensitive to each of their situations at home and offers to help them buy shoes, food and school supplies. She pushes them to do better and cries with them when they feel lost. Heather has been the executive director of Teen Court of Sarasota for five years. Before that, she worked for the nonprofit organization for 20 years as a case manager. Teens referred to Teen Court by local law enforcement and Sarasota Public Schools are offered services and counseling to help them stay in school and receive guidance and tools to learn how to do better choice. This community is a better place with Teen Court and Heather leading it. Thank you Heather for seeing hope in every child.
