The Tillotson Coaticook Regional Fund celebrates its tenth year of operation in the MRC of Coaticook. Since its inception, the fund has donated more than $1.6 million to organizations in the region. Although the organization is based in Coaticook, its field of action covers several towns in the Eastern Townships. “We cover from Stansted to Cookshire with Coaticook at the center,” said Michael Everett, chairman of the fund. Everett gave a few examples of local groups that have received support, including the Lennoxville & District Women’s Center, Meals on Wheels Community Support, and Operation Backpack. “We also donate to schools and education like Phelps Helps,” Everett said.

The Regional Fund places great emphasis on funding health services, education, support for young and old, and basic community needs. To support these causes, the Tillotson Coaticook Regional Fund continues to provide up to $10,000 per organization through fundraising calls twice a year.

Since its founding in 2012, the Tillotson Coaticook Regional Fund has donated to many causes in the region. Created by the Neil and Louise Tillotson Fund as a mainstay of support for small, local nonprofits, they have contributed immensely to many programs and causes by making significant donations to organizations in need. “We’ve donated about $100,000 twice a year for the past few years,” Everett said. “We have tried to help and ensure people’s basic needs.”
