Obi Cubana and his philanthropy

Mr. Obinna Iyegbu has recently won the love and support of the public through his philanthropic deeds; silencing his detractors by asking him that he should have used the money he lavished and wasted on his mother’s funeral to engage in a business that will most benefit the general public.

He first made headlines that he had donated one million naira each to a large number of youths in his village to support their businesses and activities. He also built and dedicated a church, a mansion of a building for his community. He also became interested in a boy selling sachet water, but was kind enough to share what little money he had with the prisoners in transit.

The latest new trend in Obi Cubana’s philanthropy is the construction of the “Route Afor Oba” linking the city center to his village.

Recall that Mr. Obinna Iyegbu, the founder and managing director of the Cubana Group, a conglomerate which engages in the entertainment and hospitality sector as well as in real estate and hotels has been the subject of public discussions during the entire second quarter of 2021 after hosting the funeral of his future mother. Since then, he has been both the object of praise and admiration, but also the object of criticism and investigation.

He was and is still being investigated for financial fraud and money laundering by the men of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), he is still under ongoing investigation for trafficking drugs and running a drug empire by the men of the National Drug Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).
