The Livingston County United Way has published its annual wishlists for local nonprofits that may need a little help during the holiday season.
Livingston County United Way’s 28th Annual “Fulfill Wishes” booklet compiles “wish lists” each year from nonprofit organizations in the area.
Local agencies spend year round making sure the people they serve have everything they need to be healthy, stable and supported. Officials say they are so busy doing their amazing job that United Way is trying to publicize their needs for the next year to help them prepare to serve the community in 2022.
The online booklet lists convenient products and services such as office supplies, equipment or gift cards to help local organizations deliver strong community programming, while offsetting operating costs. In some cases, “soft” second-hand quality items can be donated, such as office equipment, furniture or supplies.
It is also said that there is a constant need for volunteers, including board members, to help support programming in the community and lead the work in progress. Officials stressed that a person’s time is a precious gift and makes a huge difference each year. Finally, end-of-year tax deduction receipts can be issued for items brought in.
