Local nonprofit hopes to educate community about gun ownership through new gun safety initiative

“The main mission is really to save lives and impart education when needed,” said Ralph Rodriguez, founder of All You Can Inc.
HARRISBURG, Pa. – All You Can Inc and 717 Armory are offering free training to any local resident of Dauphin County to give them the opportunity to be educated on firearms by a professional firearms trainer.
“If we could take our time to help people learn more about gun safety, gun etiquette and the proper way to use guns, both for recreation and as a self-defense tool, ”said Patrick Connaghan, CEO of 717 Armory.
“The main mission is really to save lives and impart education when needed,” said Ralph Rodriguez, founder of All You Can Inc.
For the organization and the company, saving lives is the mission, and thanks to a well-educated community, they say it is possible.
“If we could share information that saves a life, that’s the name of the game for us,” Connaghan said.
Ralph Rodriguez says we need to stop viewing a gun as a harmful weapon.
“We have to kind of change that point of view and just explain how this is a tool and can be used for the right purposes,” Rodriguez said.
Nat Matthews hopes to own a gun.
“One: it’s my right, and second, to be aware of it in a worst-case scenario,” Matthews said.
But before he did, he wanted to take a class on what it means to own a gun.
“Really, I had no knowledge of gun safety and handling, so today was a great opportunity for me to learn,” Matthews said.
