The Day – Kindness in Real Life: Five Local Organizations Get Recovery Grants

As part of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston’s Jobs for New England Recovery grant program, Jewett City Savings Bank awarded grants of $ 10,000 to five nonprofits in the area. The grants are designed to support organizations that have suffered significant losses due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The recipients of a $ 10,000 grant are:
• Mayotte-Viens American Legion post # 13 in Putnam
• Wellness Opportunities North East (NOW) of Putnam
• Renaissance City Theater at the Granite Theater, Westerly, Rhode Island
• Killingly’s Quinebaug Valley Community College Foundation (QVCC)
• Griswold Eastern Connecticut Performing Arts Association
