Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham to face off in pre-season tournament

What are the key dates?
The preseason tournament kicks off with Arsenal hosting European champions Chelsea on August 1.
Spurs then head to Stamford Bridge three days later ahead of a North London derby showdown at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on August 8.
What was said?
Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel said on the club’s website: “I am delighted that my first pre-season with Chelsea features such high level matches against opponents of this quality. Hopefully there will be a lot of fans in the stadiums.
“The derby matches against Arsenal and Tottenham cannot fail to have a competitive edge, which the team needs as we prepare for the season, and knowing that the matches will benefit charities as important as Mind and our own foundation adds a lot of value to the series. “
Mikel Arteta added: “As we move towards exiting the pandemic, we are happy to star in a series that promotes better mental health,” said the Arsenal manager, who has tested positive for Covid-19 in March 2020, which resulted in the The Premier League decides to suspend all matches.
“The past 18 months have been incredibly difficult and so many people – including many of our own fans – naturally need extra support for their mental well-being.
“Of course, these pre-season games will provide our teams with excellent, high-quality preparation before next season.
“But most importantly, they will raise funds and educate organizations, like Mind, which provide exceptional support to those who need it most in difficult circumstances.”
How much goes to charity?
As part of the campaign, £ 5 from every ticket sold will support charitable projects, 25% of which will go to Mind.
